A typical IT move weekend

Saturday morning	Our crew bags cables and packs IT into labelled crates.
Saturday midday	Equipment loaded and moved to the new office.

Old IT equipment, disposal and data destruction

Moving is a good time to clear out old IT. We remove redundant computers, monitors and printers for IT equipment disposal through a certified WEEE recycler. Hard drives are wiped or destroyed and you receive a certificate.

How much does an office IT move cost?

The cost depends on the number of workstations, the distance and how much work is involved. Every office is different, so after a free survey you get a fixed written price.

What does an IT relocation service include?

An IT relocation service covers packing, moving and placing your computers, monitors, printers and phones at your new desks. Caledonia does the physical move; your IT team or provider handles disconnection, reconnection, servers, network and data.

Do you move servers?

No. We do not disconnect or relocate servers or mainframes. Your IT provider should do that, and we work to their schedule.

Who disconnects the computers?

Your IT team or provider unplugs and disconnects the computers before we arrive, and reconnects them at the new desks. We bag and label the cables, then wrap, move and place everything safely.

How do you stop equipment being damaged?

Every computer goes in an anti-static bag, cables are bagged and labelled, and everything travels in labelled crates in our own vehicles with the same crew from start to finish.

Can you move our IT over a weekend?

Yes, on a Saturday, on request. Your IT provider disconnects on Friday, we move everything on Saturday, and staff log on at their new desks on Monday.

What happens to our old computers?

We can remove them for recycling through a certified WEEE partner, with hard drives wiped or destroyed and a certificate issued.

How much does it cost to move office IT?

It depends on the number of workstations, distance and the work involved. After a survey you get a fixed written price.

Very professional both during the preparatory stages in planning the moves and in their execution on the day.
