Most businesses need extra space at some point: between offices, during a refit, for seasonal stock, or for files you must keep but rarely open. Renting more premises is expensive. Self storage means hiring a van and doing the lifting yourself.
Our commercial storage works differently. Our own crews collect everything from your premises, wrap and load it into sealed containers, and store it in our indoor warehouse in Perth. You get an itemised inventory, and when you need something back, we deliver it.
Self storage or managed storage?
| Self storage | Caledonia managed storage | |
|---|---|---|
| Who moves your items | You (van hire, staff time) | Our crews collect and deliver |
| Where it is kept | A unit you rent and visit | Sealed containers in an indoor warehouse |
| Record of what is stored | Your own notes | Itemised inventory |
| Getting one item back | Drive to the unit | We find it and deliver it (a retrieval charge applies) |
| Combined with a move or clearance | No | Yes, one team and one price |
| Best for | Frequent daily access | Items you need kept safely, not every day |
If you need to get into your unit every day, self storage suits you better. For everything else, managed storage saves time and staff.
